VoteVets.org : Here's what we know re: Trump / Putin

VoteVets

Earlier this morning, Donald Trump met with Vladimir Putin for 2 hours and 10 minutes. No one else was present. There are no known recordings of the meeting.

It is likely no one will ever know what was said or agreed to.

But here is what we do know: last week the Mueller investigation yielded 12 indictments against Russian military officers accused of a “sustained effort” to hack into Democratic email accounts and computer networks.

We also know that the president, contra every U.S. intelligence agency, has dismissed the charges that Russia tried to support his campaign in 2016. We know that his minions like Rudy Giuliani have called the investigation “illegitimate” and “highly suspect.”

And we know that Fox News (aka State Media) is providing cover for Trump to end the investigation.

Today’s private meeting with Putin is a great reminder to all of us that we must be ready if and when Trump finally pulls the plug on Mueller.

If that happens, no one can predict what will come next, but we do know this: Veterans will have a trusted voice in that debate. But first, we need you to get smart on who Robert Mueller is and his story.

Thank you for watching and for your continued support of the progressive veterans leading the effort to hold Trump accountable.

All my best,
